Welcome to Sport Sciences International
Sport Sciences International (SSI), with main locations in Aurora and Markham Ontario, is a multi-disciplinary group of healthcare professionals committed to enhancing athletic performance and health by optimizing biomechanical balance.
SSI was founded in 1987 by Kevin Honsberger. In the early years of his physiotherapy career, he witnessed a deterioration in athletic performance before the appearance of an injury. This realization was the impetus in the creation and growth of Sport Sciences International.
SSI is affiliated with Honsberger Physiotherapy and Biomechanics Clinic (www.honsbergerphysio.com)
Our staff now includes those that have worked with provincial, national and professional athletes, and they have experience in working in a multitude of sports as therapists, athletes or as certified coaches.
SSI believes in giving back to the community and as such we have developed an Athlete Management Fund to help alleviate the costs of treatment and prevention of sports related injuries. This fund is designed to improve access to high caliber treatment and programs for individual athletes and teams.
